'74 Car Merchandising NEWSFLASH
MUSTANG II IS High-Percieved Value

The value offered by the 1974 Mustang, with a suggested retail price of $2,895 for the base 2-door IS very comparable to the terrific value of the origina Mustang which was priced at $2,368. You need only consider the rate of inflation during the last nine years to realize the validity of this comparison. Based on the July, 1973 automotive component of the Cost of Living Index as compiled by the Bureau of   Labor Statistics, today's suggested retail price of the 1965 Mustang would be $3,383. But Mustang II's percieved value does not end there. It also includes $411 worth of standard equipment that was optional or not available on the original Mustang, as well as a wide range of safty-damageability-emissions items that were non-existent ten years ago.
