FITS AND FINISHES
Extreme attention to detail went into the new Mustang. Design and production engineers worked closely to help ensure that every part would fit right and look right. Engineers examined every part, every joint and made changes necessary to compensate for production tolerances. The resulting car has a look of finely detailed quality -- a look of European craftsmanship.
The thin exterior moldings are high luster aluminum, only about four-tenths of an inch wide. The slimness of the moldings, their bright finish, and the elimination of black accent paint adds to Mustang's European flavor.
