Ken St. Clair
Year: 1978
Make: Cobra II
History: Here are some pics of my Cobra II that I have owned for 15 years. As the old story goes, we bought it when we could not afford it three motors and many tears later I still have her. There were times when I thought of throwing in the towel. I knick named her the grouch because some times she would run other times she wouldn't.
That is all behind her now I have completely disassembled this car and had it on a frame to work underneath of it. There was no rust except a small hole in the firewall behind the wheel well ( now I know where the mouse was getting in). The motor is a 289 hi-po with 5.0 high output heads. Wolverine blue racer cam, factory hi-po 4 barrel with demon carburator, headers and dual flowmasters. Upholstery is original with new headliner and carpets. Transmission is the rad 4 speed. 3.55 rear gears. I changed the wheels to five lugs with old style 14" Mustang rims and I custom made the centers to retain the stock look.
This is an early 1978 model. We have fun getting out and cruising together. My wife has a 1975 mach1. People are always commenting on them.
